Woots. Someone's birthday is around the corner and being an absolute darling (as always) I had to do shopping for a birthday gift! Shopping is every girl's nasty love bug but despite the "i don't know what to get for him"s, the truth is that we girls LOVE it when we say that because it just means more shopping for us! YIPEES!

Anyhoos.

If you are like a total loser at getting a "close to awesome" birthday gift for a boy-friend, or boyfriend(s) or BOYS in general la, you got to read this. But instead of telling WHAT YOU SHOULD GET FOR HIM, I am telling why WHAT you SHOULD NOT get for HIM!

Drumroll please!


1) NO couple keychain

*vomits blood* If you are thinking of getting it ENGRAVED with your initials or slushy names that you call each other, forget it! It's a N-O N-O for a birthday gift! It just lacks sincerity. I mean, key chains are so last century! 

2)DON'T GET Anything from FOREVER FRIENDS (If you are getting for your BF)

I like this FF bears because they look so fat and huggable. But unfortunately they are called FOREVER FRIENDS (from Hallmark or Precious Thots). These bears come with Hearts and I Love You's too, but it might send the wrong message to your beloved!

3) Personalised things

I think it's weird because girls LOVE personalised things, buy BOYS don't! It just looks weird on them. Personalised mugs, personalised pens ETC! It feels ok to get one for a girl friend. But somehow it just looks weird if you get those sort of things for guys...

4) Boy Shorts or anything else meant for the inner wear

I know you girls must have gotten this idea when guys buy for their wife/gf some nice lingerie! It is OK for us right?! After all, most guys got good taste when it comes to such things! Maybe they learnt it from err, FHM? Playboy magazine? NO?!

 Was so not going to put Megan Fox here. But, she is like the"go figure" thing. So yea, here she is. The she-male who now looks like a transvetite they say.

*rolls eyes*

I am confirm 10000 times hotter than her please.

Well, somehow it doesn't work the other way round. Because, unfortunate for us girls (or poor thing these guys) men inner wears do not really look very appealing. (PUI!) most of the time.So how to tell whether is it going to look GOOD or NOTon him? Like, For example...

You look at this and you say wows, I haz to buy that for himz.

What on earth is this suppose to be by the way?

When you bought it, you realise the garment looks like a sack because not enough package down there (haha!) OR ANYTHING ALONG THAT LINE. You get what I mean!? And some guys are particular about what kind of CUT they want, so if you don't know what your man wants for his in-things, then don't buy la. Save money, and save your face. Shopping at men's section is not very fun.

5) Fake Goodies

Think for yourself...would you want someone to give you fakkies for a birthday present?!

Actually it doesn't look that bad right? But I find the idea of not giving original stuff for presents disturbing. Unless you and your friends/bf are crazy about fake goods la. HAHA!

They say the amount of money you spent on a gift is a measure of your love...

But... no money = no love?

Does that make a poor and broke man's life...loveless? Isn't that sad? The one who came up with that statement must have been a rich ass dude who can afford to throw money in the air for some random fun.

Have fun shopping for stuffs for guys. It can be really stressful to get the "close to awesome" gift! But hey! Sometimes...simplicity is the best!

So guys, help me! What do YOU usually prefer?
