Review : Outback Steakhouse At Raffles Boulevard
Happy fasting everyone. I woke up this morning and saw a moth in my toilet and it started flying around. I used a vulgarity accidentally. Then I was at work, and I thought to myself remember to eat those Oreo pantry biscuits for tea break when I recalled I AM FASTING :(
So to add even more salt to the wound, I totally forgot about the Outback dinner I had last to last week and it is an overdue post (too consumed with Marina Bay Sands and Slash concert hee)
Outback Steakhouse serves western/australian steaks and others. I wasn't wow-ed by the menu. Looks familiar throughout.
Outback has their very own Blooming Onion - 1 onion, sliced open such that it blooms like a flower (and the "petals" are battered and deep fried NYUM!) We wanted to order blooming onion, but they said it's Out Of Stock because it's not the "season" yet.
I didn't know onions grow according to seasons too!
I gotten myself a plate of grilled chicken with BBQ sauce, accompanied by 'Australian chips'
and for Z
This is supposed to be a loaf of yeast bread. It's dark brownish inside and taste real yummeyy! Eat with butter!
Strawberry -something-. It somehow tasted like Strawberry Ice Blended bubble tea. Quite disappointed actually because it costs $12.90 and no oomph!
The portion was huge and being thumbelina, I didn't finish it up. So what did we do? Doggy bag it back to Sands and gobble it up later for supper :D
It it a great place for a simple dinner date. But definitely not a place for you to take your first date out for dinner! *too casual*
But I'll come back for BLOOMING ONIONS later this year! They said it SHOULD be back by September or November.
OH! If you are thinking about heading to Outback NOW, please DON'T! They are closed for 1 month for RENOVATION! HIAK!
