Singapore's Circle Line Gone Wrong

Circle-Line : Major Fail or Gain ?

Congratulations Singaporeans! To make your life more exciting, the news is out and 11 new stations of the Circle Line is now OPEN. BUT, to make it even more happening, it will be opened in stages.

And this mean it will take forever before you get to see the complete Circle Line.

Major FAIL #1 :How can you even call it the Circle Line when the "Circle" is not complete? Oh, the irony.

Major FAIL #2: Calling S.H.E to the opening of Circle Line's 11 new stations is a great idea. But it puzzles me why they resort to use S.H.E? S.H.E appeals to the crowd for sure but how does that mark the celebratory birth of SINGAPORE's newest 11 stations?

What happened to Phua Chu Kang and Rosie, Fiona Xie, Stefanie Sun, Mark Lee, Taufik Batisah, Electrico and those Campus Super star kids?

We are in dire need for true breed Singaporeans to stand out of the "foreigners" crowd.

Don't tell me all of the above are busy or too expensive for a million dollar company such as SMRT?

I think it is bad enough that we are being over shadowed with Foreign Talent wherever we go. To add salt to the wound, you hire some foreign talent for performance too! *shakes head is disagreement and disbelief*

Major Fail #3: There is too much construction going on everywhere till the point where the Nicoll highway actually collapsed. In the efforts to progress "too fast", Singapore created more horrors -- massive construction going on everywhere, traffic jam, air pollution etc.

My dad always joked with us, saying that one day Singapore will break into two piece due to too much digging underground.

Hell no, hope not!

Actually, in 10 years time, Singapore's train map will look like this:

Are we just trying too hard? Or is this a political move, just to be in competition with other tough heads like China?

Just like what I read from a Flickr comment, a foreigner who visited Singapore commented :

"Singapore's cleaniness seems somewhat political"
