GUESS and Year End Sales List for 2010
It's the year end-ing episode once again where everyone looks forward to the brandishing new year and hopefully to kick start the 2011 with a big bang.
I am looking forward to my own fair share of boom blasting 2011!
Other than that, I've been hunting for good bargains this year-end.
from 29th November till 5th December the following list of SALEs are going on:
Oh ..oh! A Tefal sale? Z can use some Christmas kitchen magic this year end!
I have always seen GUESS as a brand of 'hope'. They have nice bags (depends on how you look at it, and how YOU or the person next to your carries it) and nice ACCESSORIES too. Some year ago, I asked a friend, would you buy a GUESS bag? She bleah and said NO, they are so 'makcik' (aunty).
Bags like that for Makcik meh? (Hearts and studs! Noooooh I have a weak heart for these!)
Juxtapose that with a fake Gucci or Louis Vuitton! Not associating G & LV with the brand itself, but the material and the quality of fakies, and the 100001 girls that carry them to school, when you-know-i-know that high flying brands such as those don't come from shops with tear-from-the-counter receipts that school girls can afford.
I love basking myself in handbags, although technically they are not mine and they are actually still ON the shelves of shops, BUT admiring them from afar is a much good enough satisfaction.
The issue is not with the 'marketing' problem itself, because as you can see, GUESS by Marciano has always chosen sandy blondes with perky B&B (butts and boobs) portrayed falling all over a sequential number of sexily unshaven bad boys. THAT is suppose to mean something right?
WHY ARE MY FRIENDS BUYING GUCCI and LOUIS VUITTON? In a survey done by Razor Tv, men in general, considered Singaporean girls carrying Gucci and Louis Vuitton as fashion scapegoats. Example. You buy Gucci fake tote, then you carry them, then fashion critics diss you. But you tell yourself, I didn't start the 'trend'. But YOU still get the blame and the fashion-disaster stamped on your forehead. Voila!
Ofcourse it will be a different case if you are a totally smittened to Gucci or Louis Vuitton that no human or anything in form can erase your devotion to these 2 big brands. So much so that you only buy original bags and accessories. THAT IS A DIFFERENT CASE ALL TOGETHER.
The last trip I made to GUESS, I saw they were selling Biker Bags (WTF yahoots!) I am praying hard they bring in retro & vintage series soon , considering that their LATEST fashion adverts are are based in the 50's and 60's yahoots! Again!
