Snip Avenue Saved My Hair!
I did something eggciting yesterday! As mentioned in previous post, I was contemplating on a colour to choose to dye my rotten yellow bitch assed hair. Honestly, I like the colour;bright and wooh, but I guess it's too hard to maintain bright coloured hair (because when black *unsightly* roots grow out, it becomes mad obvious and uglee)
And so tra la la down I went to my saloon. I have my favourite hair stylist there (I swear from now on she's my favourite) and told her I want redye, trim and treatment for my hair...and 2 seconds later, I was plopped onto the 'magic chair' and was geared up in towels and a Voldemort robe.
And the entire process of redying was real quick. Just 1 and half hour, doh!
3 hair washes and 1 headful of white mucus (ie hair dye cream) later... I was stripped (not literally) off my bad hair colour and there like a golden crown, sits my beautiful brown-black tresses waving their gentle curly tenticles at me.
Actually, the colour now is no where near brown - the colour that I pointed to Nicole (the hair stylist). But weirdly, I was really elated looking at myself in blackbrownish hair.
What I intend to do now is to savour (yum!) and rejoice at the fact that I can haz a black hairz once morr! Though I will definitely be back to Snip Avenue to... have more treatment. Or maybe get a new colour?
Saloon owner said : Because your hair is not Long, it is Extra Long, you have to pay additional $10 to the package.
I was really flattered! Did she really say I have Extra Long hair?!?! Wow thumbelina , finally... :)
I want to be RAPUNZEL!!! Maybe I should change thumbelina to RAPUNZELINA!!!
Doing my first advertorial at Dress Sense boutique tomorrow with my girls and I'm so excited!!! I researched on the labels that the boutique carries and I'm so blown away by them all. More updates about that soon ;)

Healthy hair once more!

For my case, snip avenue TOTALLY destroyed my hair. I went to rebond there, end up my whole hair dried up!It's much worse than before i did the rebonding. Becomes super frizzy!! My advice is don't ever rebond there even though it's cheap. I regret going there cos i know that the damages that they done to my hair is going to be permanent. Even though they realised how badly my hair became and did a treatment for me, I can still see lots of split ends. They still blame me for choosing the $38 rebonding instead of the $50+ rebonding, how rude!!
ReplyDeleteWhich outlet did you went to?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous I went to the one At Hougang Central. They are really efficient and for my perm, it lasts for close to 1 year (probably because I have thick hair so the waves lasted longer!)
ReplyDeleteI never tried other outlets before, maybe they are not so efficient elsewhere?
i went to the hougang outlet to rebond my hair, after the additional $10 dollar treatment which they claim is needed to smooth the hair, it turned out well. in fact, quite well. my hair was not dry and it was straight for around a year, with frequent conditioning
ReplyDeleteOnly the haircut is cheap. If you try other services, the hairstylist will try to make you take the highest cost treatment. If you do not agree, they are rude to you and take it out on your hair. Recently, I went to dye my hair. I notice that they did not wash thoroughly, probably no conditioner. My hair keep tangling and they keep pulling hard so I feel quite painful on my scalp. When it is time to blow dry, they put the dryer so close to the head that you feel very scorching heat on your ears and scalp. It is as if they are trying to damage your hair so that you will go for further treatment there. Every time you take the lower cost treatment, they must try to make you pay $10 extra for putting on your hair some liquid which they claim is treatment after dyeing or perming. I think they are trying to earn commission at the expense of customers! Very bad customer service!
ReplyDeleteMy advice is dun go for anything cheap publish on the outside. It is only a sales gimmick! When you go for other treatments, it might cost you more with pestering from the hairstylist. It might look high class on the outside but the toilet is a sight!
ReplyDeletehaiz...damn sad today. went for color and rebonding at the blk 201 tampines branch..paid a total of 140 buck for it. In the end, the rebonding make my hair lagi dry and puff up. Haiz...i will never go back to Snip Ave again.
ReplyDeleteHi dear, its damage coz u choose the $38 one.. Thats the cheapest one. Thats a promotion price.. The best is loreal $98, shiseido $88..if u want good treatment thats the 2 choices which u can choose from.. From the price $38 u cant expect much dear..
ReplyDeleteHello Thumbelina , Could you recommend me your hairstylist from hougang central?
